Charleston wins shootout 3-1 in four rounds.
Charleston earns 2 points for winning the shootout. Toronto earn 1 point for losing the shootout. Anything less than a 4 or 5 point win at this time of the season won't help the cellar dwelling Lynx.
Lynx should have won this game. They had a man advantage for 60 minutes from the 38 minute mark of the first half to the 9th minute of the overtime period. It was an extremely warm evening so a man advantage should have had made even more difference even if Charleston may be used to warm weather games.
Attendance was announced as 1858. Today's theme was Mascot Day. There was a 10 or 11 player mascot game featuring the mascots of other Toronto teams and companies. The Lynxster was 'naked' until about 40 minutes when they put a Lynx uniform on him. Best player in the mini game was Geoffrey Giraffe from Toys 'R Us with two goals. He didn't have oversized shoes so he was the most manueverable player.
