Result of the W-League game played Sunday June 27th between Toronto Inferno and Denver Diamonds at Birchmount Stadium in Scarborough at 2:00pm.
20 min...Diamond GOAL Sarah Swanson...DD Wynne McIntosh pounds 15 yard shot that goalie Leish Alcia blocks, Swanson pounds point blank rebound from 10 yards again blocked by Alcia, then Swanson gets another rebound with 7 yard shot from right side puts it in left corner of net.
29 min...Inferno GOAL Portia Barriffe...TI Nancy Lewis corner from right, Barriffe races into box and gets header in from 5 yards that defender saves behind line.
36 min...Diamond GOAL Rachel Webber...Webber on 12 yard shot from right side of goal to left corner of net.
55 min...Inferno GOAL Jo Hinks...Hinks low shot from 10 yards from right rolls under sprawling DD goalie Whitney Peterseon. TI Nancy Lewis had throw-in that set up play.

Inferno are still looking for their first victory against their fellow Division 1 competition and this effectively ends any hope of getting a playoff spot with five games to go.
