Laval - Jennifer Biondi scored twice including the game winner in overtime to lead the Dynamites de Laval to an exciting 2-1 win over the Toronto Inferno.

The victory for Laval came in the first ever meeting of the two Canadian franchises in W-League play. Laval's win in front of just under 900 fans evened their record at 2-2. The Inferno meanwhile fell to 1-2 in early season play.

After a scoreless first half Laval opened the scoring in the 51st minute when Lisa Rinaldi sent a ball in deep on the right wing where it was collected and crossed to the far post by Annie Perrault. Biondi had only to push the ball past Toronto goalkeeper Leisha Alcia and into the open goal.

Portia Barriffe tied things up for Toronto seven minutes later when she got on the end of a Shaza Zihra corner kick and saw her shot deflect in under the crossbar off the head of Laval defender Claudia Rubino.

In overtime it was Rinaldi again setting things up as she sent in a perfectly placed pass for Biondi who's 20 yard shot hit the inside of the post before settling in the goal behind Alcia.

Laval next see action when they travel down the U.S. East Coast to play Maryland and Delaware on June 13th and 14th while Toronto returns home for a game this Friday night for a game against Boston.
