Paolo Denicola scored the first three goals of the game and all in the first half to effectively put the game out of reach early.
Attendance was around 50 people. The weather was extremely cold! I was keeping my hands in my pockets to keep them warm. A play would have to be really exciting for me to write it down but there were more chances than I list here.
Both teams had to win this game to stay in contention for a Playoff position although chances look slim. A tie would eliminate both teams tonight. The Shooters next 'must win' game is an away game against undefeated Toronto Olympians on September 8th.
Astros started the game with no substitutes although coach Rafael Carbajal was listed as a back up goalie and two of the three listed subs did show up; no sign of Seamus O'Connell.
