LONDON CITY HAND OSHAWA
FIRST LOSS
In Friday night's only game, unbeaten Oshawa Flames travelled to London to play second place London City. London were hoping to move into a first place tie on points with Toronto Olympians with a win while Oshawa were hoping to move into second place if they could take home the three points.

It was Oshawa who took the early lead with a goal from Dave Kohek in the 11th. minute but London City veteran Jurek Gebczynski tied the game with a goal in the 31st. minute. There were chances for both sides in the second half but the game seemed to be heading for a draw until the last five minutes when London's Paul Austin netted the winner in the 86th. minute and Kenrick Emanuel sealed the win for London City with a goal in the 88th. minute for a final score of 3 - 1.

The three points for London moved them into a tie on points with Toronto Olympians at the top of the league standings. However, Olympians have a superior goal difference and also have games in hand.

The regular league standings will not change dramatically over the next month as teams will be concentrating on the League Cup competition. There are only three regular league games scheduled between now and August 8th. when the first stage of the League Cup competition concludes and regular league play starts again in earnest.
