Worst against first as Lynx have lost 8 games in a row. They play tonight without Chris Pozniak away in the Francophone Games, and the injured Adrian Serioux, Theo Zagar, Mauricio Vincello and Lyndon Hooper vs the tired Wildcats who seem to have played four games in the last week. Earlier today the city of Toronto found out they lost their bid for the 2008 Summer Olympics.
The national anthems were played. The US one was a recording by Boyz II Men and just dragged on and on sounding like "Row Row Row Your Boat", the Canadian one was sang by local R&B/Hip-Hop artist Skitz who sang a few songs before the game and at halftime. Ceremonial kickoff was taken by Etobicoke-Lakeshore MP Jean Augustine who made history in 1993 when she became the first African-Canadian MP in Canada.
Also announced was Brian Ashton has become the first Lynx player to reach 100 appearances with tonight's game.

More singing by Skitz while a mini-soccer game was going on. One of the kids used him as a pylon to escape a defender. Also the Tajaba Academy of Performing Arts wearing leopard skin coloured pants danced to songs including (Jamaican) Shaggy's "It Wasn't Me" finishing with the female dancers mock kicking the 'unfaithful' male dancers who moments earlier had been doing pushups over their female partners when the lyrics went "she caught us buck naked banging on the bathroom floor"...average dancer's age is about 14...er Happy Carib Fest!
