This afternoon's theme is 'Emergency Services Day' and we had representatives from the Police, Fire, and Ambulance services. In a pregame ceremony, a phoney Lynxster mascot runs onto the field. The real Lynxster runs out to wrestle him and then a policeman arrests the phoney Lynxster. The phoney Lynxster seems to be wearing the head of the Lynxster circa 1997. Arrested on what charge? Maybe in a tan coloured chipmunk suit without the team uniform it was indecent exposure.
There had been a rain since 3:30pm and has made the field slippery besides rain earlier today. The national anthems were sung by Constable John Wilson of the University of Toronto Police.

Halftime: The Kick For Cash contestant was some man who did connect with 2 of 5 shots, but the rules I finally found out after two years, are that the ball must go into the net on the fly. Representatives from St John Ambulance demonstrate treatments for severe bleeding with three women, their dragon mascot, and Lynxster.

The Lynx dominated the game outshooting the visitors 13-3 in the first half alone but couldn't score.
Lynx goalie Theo Zagar saved the game at 79 minutes when defender Joe Mattacchione gave the ball away and Riverhound forward David Flavius had a point blank 15 yard shot blocked by the sliding goalie. The defenders were able to block the rebound shot as well.
Attendance was not announced but was estimated at 600. It was raining at gametime and although it eventually stopped, it poured again at the 65 minute mark. [I heard at the CPSL North York Astros game
tonight that Brampton Hitmen drew 900 to their inaugral home game].
Lynx should have scored at least 3 goals for that elusive bonus point but deserved
the win. They are back to a 2-2 record and should eventually pass the Riverhounds if
this is the best Pittsburgh can do.
The Pittsburgh media equalled Toronto's. The Sun and Star weren't here. The Star did their once a year hatchet
job on the Lynx last week and we may not see them again. Geez you think the journalists have to sit in the rain!!
