Result of the W-League game of Sunday July 15th, 2001 between
Toronto Inferno and Ottawa Fury played at Birchmount Stadium in Scarborough at
2:00pm.
4 min...Inferno Tina Blaskovic GOAL...Inf Jo Hinks had taken a 30
yard shot from right side that hit the bar and Blaskovic kicked in the rebound
from 2 yards beyond Fury goalie Taryn Swiatek.

Kiss GOAL...Fury Jennifer Biondi beat offside trap 15 yards out and passed over
from 10 yards on left to Kiss who tapped in a 5 yard shot. Inferno goalie Leisha
Alicia was trapped on this 2 on 1.

GOAL...Melamed volleys bouncer in from 7 yards on right after getting cross from
left, a sliding Inferno defender couldn't stop the ball from crossing the
line.

pulled down in the box after deking the second defender. Her penalty kick is
blasted off the top of the crossbar and deflects over net.

Tina Blaskovic scored seven goals this weekend! (Better than the whole Lynx team
this year). Four against Laval Dynamites on Friday in the Inferno 4-3 victory. I
think we have the W-League player of the week.
No doubt that Tina would take
the second penalty kick.
Maybe a second chance at the National team Evan?
Only point against her is she's 29. Has the nickname 'Goal Machine' been used
anywhere in the world yet?
