Result of the CPSL game between St Catharines Roma Wolves and Toronto Supra played Sunday October 14th, 2001 at Club Roma in St Catharines at 2:00pm (well kickoff was actually at 2:26pm). This was the Final of the Rogers Playoff Cup.

This was the third game in three days for the Roma Wolves who had to win a wild card qualifier and then the semi-final to qualify. Field conditions were dreadful as it rained much of the
game between drizzle and hard rain and the field was a mess having seen four
previous games played here since Friday night.
1st half:...starts 2:26pm...Wolves defend north end...on this misty rainy and windy afternoon played on a muddy field. All times are converted from my wristwatch.

3 min...Wolves Borgh rolls in low cross from right but sliding Wolves Arghittu can't get to it on left post.
6 min...Wolves McKay chips 25 yard shot just too far ahead for charging Wolves Zumpano on right trying for header.
8 min...Supra Afriyie tackled from behind and Wolves Gallagher took elbow to throat as both hurt in separate incidents near center line.

Attendance was about 300 on this wet rainy day. This game was broadcast by two cable companies. The stands were like sitting in a bus station and the pressbox wasn't much better as the Rogers generator pumped in carbon
monoxide all afternoon.
This was a very exciting game with plenty of chances at both ends and the momentum shifting back and forth.
