Attendance was about 300 enthusiastic fans. Local teen and kids teams kept the cheering going much of the game.
Wizards drop back to second place. With two games in hand, they should wrap up the title before their final game against Toronto Olympians on the last day of the season. It was only their second loss of the season but it was good to see that...on any given day...plus the fact that Hitmen who hadn't won in something like their first 11 games this year have been able to turn their season around.
Sure, Wizards could have scored three goals and without resorting to Abraham Osman's two dives in the box (referee Mike Getanovich wasn't buying them) but then the Hitmen could have had three more than they had.
Hitmen goalie Adrian Trugido was brilliant and the defenders made a couple of crucial goalmouth clearances and Wizards Jamie Glasnovic was good too. Wizards Allan Popazzi was was subbed at 30 minutes when he was
injured near center looking like a rib injury.
The title race stays interesting just that little longer!
