DURHAM FLAMES SHUTOUT OLYMPIANS
Durham Flames scored an important shutout 2-0 win over Toronto Olympians in CPSL league action at Birchmount Stadium tonight to join a tight race for this season's league honours that now has just three points separating the second-place St. Catharines Roma Wolves from now sixth-place Flames. This group trails top place Olympians who sit at 8-5-1 in the W-L-T columns for 25 points. Craig Patton, his ninth of the season, and Des Humphrey were the goal scorers for Oshawa.

Brampton Hitmen edged North York Astros, 2-1, for Hitmen's second win in succession and for the season. Ivan Ursic opened the scoring after two minutes for the Hitmen and Alex Morrison made it 2-0 at 28 minutes for the half-time score. Bill Androutsos of the Astros cut the Hitmen lead to 2-1 at the 53rd minute mark. Toronto Croatia and London City deadlocked 1-1 at Memorial Park in Mississauga on goals by Croatia forward Vladimir Koval and London's Jeff Brown.
