St. Catharines Roma Wolves regained the top position in
the CPSL standings tonight with a 2-0 home win over London
City.
Frank Zumpano scored the first at 33 minutes and Joe Carbonara made it 2-0 four minutes later for St. Catharines. The Wolves regain the top spot with 17 points, two ahead of Toronto Olympians who were occupied tonight in a qualifying game of the OZ Optics League Cup.
BERDUSCO LEADS OLYMPIANS
IN 8-0 ROUT
Toronto Olympians thumped York Region Shooters,
8-0, in an OZ Optics League Cup qualifier at Birchmount Stadium in
Scarborough tonight.
Former Canadian National Team player Eddie Berdusco led the way for the Olympians with three goals, two were scored by John Matas, with Ron Belfon, Willy Giammarra and Tony Marshall each scoring singles.
