Carbonara's winner gave St. Catharines a jump in Group B of the OZ Optics Cup, to go with their league leading performance of four wins in seven games at the top of the table.

In Group D action in the OZ Optics League Cup at Crosby Park, York Region Shooters and North York Astros played to a scoreless tie.
