CPSL League Cup: Ottawa Wizards 2, Durham Flames 2
Ottawa Wizards made a second-half recovery to salvage a 2-2 tie after being 2-0 down at half-time in the first game of the 2001 Oz Optics League Cup competition played here tonight. The Wizards are in Group A with Durham Flames and Montreal Dynamites, in a format that places three teams in each group, A, B, C and D. Flames' Craig Patton opened the scoring in the first minute of play and this was followed by a Pat Sullivan header to make it 2-0 for Durham five minutes from the interval. Ottawa's Abraham Osman cut the lead to 2-1 at the 52nd minute mark and Sanjeev Parmer scored the tying goal for the Wizards after 63 minutes.
