St. Catharines Roma
Wolves jumped to the top of the CPSL standings with a 2-1 win over Toronto
Supra at Club Roma in St. Catharines tonight. Gary Hughes opened the
scoring for St. Catharines after 28 minutes, his third of the season to
take a 1-0 lead at half-time and this was tied 1-1 after 55 minutes when
Christian Lombardo struck for the Supra. Frank Zumpano scored the winner
for St. Catharines 10 minutes later and the Wolves held on for the win. An
undefeated St. Catharines now top the standings with 7 points with Supra
dropping to second spot trailing by one point.
