Tonight was Girl Power Night. In a pre game show, Catarina Cardeal sang 'I Will Survive' but her backing track for 'Strong Enough' wouldn't start so we waited in silence. She then sang the US and Canadian anthems. Members of the Toronto Inferno were introduced at the center line; Tanya Franck, Rochelle and Janine Willis, Tina Blaskovic, and manager Tony Marmo. Canadian National women's team coach Evan Pellerud took the opening kickoff.

Attendance was not announced tonight but I suspect it was only about 1500. It was a hot humid evening. US-Pro 40 only brought 12 players and had to substitute in the 22nd minute when Esmundo Rodriguez was injured. Still the visitors could have won tonight but then the Lynx could have scored more.
It was Girl Power night tonight and Team Canada coach Evan Pellerud took the ceremonial kickoff.
The Lynx did officially clinch a playoff spot because they earned 4 points for winning tonight. Montreal Impact can't catch them now and Lynx win the guaranteed third place spot in the NorthEast division. Although the Lynx and Impact could finish with the same number of points, and their series record against each other was 2-2-1, the Lynx scored one more goal in their confrontations with the Impact.
