Long Island clinches title by beating

TORONTO (CP) -- Edson Buddle's goal in the 25th minute helped
the Long Island
Rough Riders beat the Toronto Lynx 1-0 in A-League soccer
action Friday night.
With the win the Rough Riders (16-8-3)
clinched first place in the Northeast division.
Rochester is in second while
Toronto (12-11-4) sits in third place.
Buddle, the team's leading
goal scorer, took a pass from Andrew Mittendorf and flicked
the ball into the
net from seven yards.
Paul Grafer picked up the shutout in goal
for Long Island.
