Arango's goal helps Toronto beat Boston

 FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (CP) -- Colombian striker Juan Arango led the way with a
goal as the Toronto Lynx defeated the Boston Bulldogs, 2-1, in A-League soccer action
Thursday night.
 
 The Lynx applied early pressure to the Boston defence and that was rewarded when
Arango collected a pass from Lynx midfielder Nikola Vignjevic to push the ball past
Boston goalkeeper Russell Payne from five yards out.
 
 The Lynx went further ahead at the 36th minute when Arango drove the ball from 15
yards and the rising drive caught Lynx forward Aaron Benjamin and the deflection went
into the net to the right of Payne.
 
 With the score at 2-0 at half-time, Boston quickly went on the attack and scored just
after the restart on a goal after 47 minutes by midfielder Valmir Gama.
 
 The win improves Toronto to 10-8-4 for 47 points, 10 points ahead of Montreal for
the third spot in the Northeast Division. The Lynx need that third position for automatic
entry to the playoffs.
