ROCHESTER, NY--The Rochester Raging
Rhinos came up with two goals in as many minutes to nip the Toronto
Lynx 2-1 Saturday before a Frontier Field crowd of
12,611.
Onandi Lowe outleaped defender Adrian Serioux at the
far post to head home the Rochester equalizer in the 52nd
minute.
Yari Allnutt wrapped up the win in
the 54th, sliding past Marco Reda and deflecting Carlos Zavala's
25-yard pass into the net. The play started with Martin Nash, who
lofted a corner kick well above the penalty area to Zavala, whose
25-yard redirect threaded through four players before reaching
Alnutt.
The Lynx, still clinging to third place in the
Northeast Division despite a seven-game winless streak, got their
lone goal from Serioux in the 26th minute. Joe Matacchione set up
the play with a pass across the goal mouth.
