Toronto Olympians win the League Cup in this one game final. Both teams had finished second in group play in their draws and had to fight an extra two games than the group winners to get this far. This result was a reversal of their game here just two weeks ago.
Olympians win the first title on the line. They have a chance of winning the League Championship with a win Wednesday over the sad sack London City. They are also in the playoff tournament next weekend.
Attendance was about 200 persons thanks to having the 40+ member St Clement School Choir and ball retrievers from the West Rouge girls team which will mean the parents would come along too.
Vancouver 86ers players Darren Tilley and Rick Titus played a strong game for Toronto Olympians. TO goalie Brian Bowes was strong in catching and batting away crosses. The team was presented with the Cup trophy and champagne bottles were sprayed around.
