CPSL game of Wednesday June 14, 2000.
CPSL game between Glen Shields and Toronto Croatia played at Dufferin District in Vaughan at 8:00pm. This was considered a League game.
I didn't have the lineups for the game and had planned to get them from the fourth official at halftime but it turned out there was no halftime. These names were put together by seeing these teams two weeks ago.

1st half:...game starts 8:02pm...Sun Devils defend north end on this warm, hazy evening.
2 min...GS Vaglica cornerkick from right. GS player gets shot wide left from 20 yards after ball headed around in box.
4 min...GS Vaglica cornerkick from right is headed away, rebound by GS player is popped up to goalie from 40 yards. TC Tomislav Granic is injured at center line.
8 min...GS Antonucci twists header from 15 yards.
9 min...TC Moore shanks 20 yard dropped back pass well wide left of net.
10 min...TC Fran 50 yard freekick is chipped to GS goalie.
12 min...GS Dasteridis curls 30 yard shot right to TC goalie.
15 min...GS Glasgow blasts low 25 yard shot well wide left of net.
17 min...GS Dennis injured at center line and has to be helped off field for treatment.
19 min...TC Dragonic long cross from left, TC Moore heads 10 yard shot from right to goalie on right side.
20 min...TC Tomislav Granic blasts 30 yard shot well over bar.
20 min...GS Dennis returns to game.
22 min...TC Marasovic long run on right but rolls centering cross with no one around.
23 min...TC Tomislav Granic freekick on edge of box, low shot from right is cleared away.
24 min...TC Moore 25 yard shot is well over net after cornerkick from right only partially cleared.
26 min...The referee blows the whistle on account of lightning in the distance. With the stands made of aluminum, this was a good idea. Initially the delay was to be only 15 minutes until he saw what the weather would turn into but it started to rain and continued for hours. I fled across the street to a CoffeeTime donut shop but left when I could see the parking lot empty and the rain continue.
I think that it's a good thing the game was scoreless as since the game doesn't go into the record books no one loses their 1st goal or 100th of their career.
