Olympians blank the Shooters 4-0
In the first leg of the CPSL League Cup quarter finals the Toronto Olympians shutout the Shooters 4-0 at Richmond Green.

The Olympians were ahead 2-0 at half time on goals by Pevnand Mossavat at the 21st minute and Eddy Berdusco at the the 32nd minute.  In the second half Gus Kouzmanis kept his scoring streak alive by notching one at the 77th minute and Ron Belfon rounded out the Olympian scoring at the 90th minute.

Shooters who were without four of their regular starters due to injury and suspensions face an uphill battle in the return leg which has been scheduled for September the 8th at Birchmount Stadium, kick-off time is 8:00 p.m.

This weekends match-ups.
This weekends regular League matches features five key games as teams battle it out for the playoffs and the right to advance to London to compete for the Primus Cup.

On Friday night the top three teams are all in action.  Current League leaders Toronto Croatia hosts the Toronto Olympians at Centennial Stadium, kick-off time is 8:00 p.m.  Look for Toronto Croatia's coach Velimir Crjen to see some action on Friday night as he has just received his international release from the CSA, Crjen plays pro soccer in Asia in the off season.

Friday nights other match up has the Roma Wolves traveling to London, St. Catharines currently sits in third and are tied with Olympians on points.

Sundays games has Toronto Croatia taking on the Sun Devils at Dufferin/Clark, the Shooters traveling to Birchmount and the Astros will be looking to string back to back wins as they face the Oshawa Flames at Civic Stadium.  Come Monday morning, things could look a lot different in the League Standings.
